Jacob Goldstein is the co-host of NPR’s Planet Money and his stories have aired on This American Life, All Things Considered, and Morning Edition. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, two kids, and a small dog. Jacob has previously worked as a reporter at the Wall Street Journal and the Miami Herald- he’s written about money for the New York Times Magazine, and more recently he has published his book “Money: The True Story of a Made-Up Thing”. And during this episode we’re not only talking about the history and origins of money, but we’re going to dive into where things are today as well as the possible future of money. We run the gamut- from the birth of electrum coins in Greece to Bitcoin today.

And buy his book “Money: The True Story of a Made-Up Thing” – it really was a fun read. And give Jacob a follow over on Twitter.

During this episode we both enjoyed a Rodenbach Classic.
