Friday Flight: EV Breakthroughs, Early Retirement Downsides, and Pricey Dumbbells – Episode 261

October 2, 2020

It’s time for a Friday Flight! These episodes are all about the week’s news and the effects of Covid-19 on your personal finances. There are a lot of headlines out there, but we are distilling it down to specific takeaways that will allow you to not just weather this health and financial crisis, but to come out on the other side even stronger. In this episode we cover some interesting and helpful stories like the high costs of exercise equipment, bans on new gasoline vehicles, electric vehicle technology breakthroughs, Google paying off student loans, and filling out the FAFSA ASAP. After all of that we discuss the effects of Prime Day and then we have an entire conversation on early retirement– how we feel about financial independence, the impact of retirement on the brain, and then what to do as you work towards retirement including some savings goals.
